Life Of A FlyThis is the day I take my first breath,  I see my mother’s face for the first time.  I feel no emotion.   
This is the day I take my first steps,  I call out to my mother for the first time.  I care nothing for the smile on her face.   
This is the day I learn to ride a bike,  I scrape my knee for the first time.  I feel the pain, but I only care for the bike.

Where Is The Moon?Where is the moon?!  The night is so dark without it.  Is it a new moon tonight?  I don’t care!   
Where is the moon?  The dark scares me a bit.  I’m a child again.  Afraid of the dark and being left alone.  But I’m NOT alone.   
 
Where is the moon?  I say it aloud in a car full of people.  No one seems to hear.  They talk over each other,  They ask repetitive questions like;  Where are going?  Do you think I’ll get home before curfew?  Can we go get something to eat?  While I ask;  Where is the moon?

Basic Training in Fort Jackson wasn't so bad. I mean yah, while i was there i really really REALLY wanted to be anywhere but there, but looking back on it, it was a necessary experience. I must admit i do feel like a better person after going through all that. Better and tougher. Ive crawled on my elbows and toes just because someone asked a stupid question to the drill sergeant. Its what i needed. Now im waiting for 16 more weeks of tough training.
